Congratulations to the Player of the Year, Duane Martin – Laurens Dist 55 HS, and to the Coach of the Year, Chris Liner -Laurens Dist 55 HS.
We hosted an “In the Know Breakfast” on November 30th. Scott Carr, Greenville Spartanburg International Airport, Vice President of Commercial Business and Communications, gave an update on GSP International Airport’s accomplishments and growth impacting our region. These “In the Know” events allow our membership to learn firsthand what the current issues are affecting us locally, regionally and statewide by bringing State and National
leaders to our community.
Many of our Small Business Members stopped by to pick up goodies for Shop Small Saturday, coming up this Saturday, November 24th. In an effort to support local shops that make our communities strong, American Express launched Small Business Saturday on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to encourage people to Shop Small and bring more holiday shopping to small businesses. Here, in Laurens County, we are surrounded by many small businesses, offering the community needed goods, employment opportunities, and bringing so much character to our small towns. It is important that we thank and support these businesses every opportunity we have, as a county. So don’t forget to stop by our wonderful small businesses
this Saturday and Shop Small Laurens County!
Thank you Rotary Club of Laurens for inviting us to talk about the “Hey Look Laurens County” campaign in October. We are excited
