The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce was happy to take part in a ribbon cutting for the United Way of Laurens County satellite office in Gray Court on October 26th, despite the rain! This new office will serve as a space for VITA, and various other United Way events such as food box giveaways and job fairs. The ribbon cutting kicked off a job fair hosted by AmeriCorps members. We are honored to announce Amelia Mitchell, Business Development Specialist at Founders Federal Credit Union, as the recipient of the LCCC Ambassador of the 3rd Quarter Award. Amelia has been an Ambassador for the past year, voted in by the Chamber board and selected as the Quarterly winner by her Ambassador peers. Robertson’s ACE Hardware is a multi-generational owned & operated business in Laurens County, founded by Raymond Robertson in 1964. Tom & Lance Robertson, grandsons of Raymond, have taken over the family business. In 2007 they expanded and opened a location in Woodruff. We are grateful to this family for being an asset to Laurens County for the past 54 years and we look forward to the future of Robertson’s Ace Hardware.
