Community Education Offers Holiday Trip
Laurens County Lifelong Learning has a new program! The name of this program is Community Education, and we will be offering a variety of services to the entire population of Laurens County including Barksdale, Clinton, Cross Hill, Gray Court, Hickory Tavern, Joanna, Kinards, Lanford, Laurens, Mountville, Ora, Owings, Princeton, Waterloo, and Watts Mills.
Please join us for our first adventure on Tuesday, December 11. Reservations are limited and are on a first come-first served basis. Don’t miss this opportunity! Secure your reservation early! We have charted a bus with restroom facilities, and are planning a trip to Christmas Town, USA in McAdenville, NC. Each Christmas for 52 years McAdenville becomes Christmas Town, USA with more than 375 decorated live trees ranging from 6 feet to more than 90 feet. Over 450,000 red, green and white lights help to create a spectacular display which draws approximately 600,000 visitors to this community each year. In 1997 “Good Morning America” broadcast a LIVE report from McAdenville’s Christmas Town, USA.
Cost for this activity will be $25 per person. This includes the round trip fare on the 49 passenger bus. We will leave from the Laurens County Higher Education Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, and we should return to the Center by approximately10:00 to 10:30 p.m. The Laurens County Higher Education Center is located at 663 Medical Ridge Road behind the Laurens County Hospital. Free and secure parking is available at the Center.
Snacks and drinks will be permitted to be brought onto the bus. We will make a restaurant stop on the return trip. Food cost is NOT included.
Checks for the trip should be made payable to Laurens County Lifelong Learning and can be mailed or delivered to Lifelong Learning at 663 Medical Ridge Road, Clinton, SC 29325. Cash payments should be delivered to Lifelong Learning at The Laurens County Higher Education Center at the 663 Medical Ridge Road address. Registration and payment deadline is Monday, November 19.
