Chamber Welcomes Three Interns
Mark Owens, Elizabeth Bagwell, and Gail Atkinson have joined the Chamber as the new Special Events, Marketing, and Membership support Interns.
Atkinson, originally from Florence, is a senior at Presbyterian College majoring in Business. She is a four year Bluehose Cheerleader serving as Captain this past year. Her responsibilities will include assisting the Business manager, providing feedback and calling on local business owners, and serving as the chamber liaison to the Mountain FOOT Festival.
Bagwell, originally from Spartanburg, is a senior at Presbyterian College majoring in Business. She is president of the student union board and a staff writer for the college newspaper. Her responsibilities will include assisting with the cost of living survey, writing articles for the monthly newsletters and planning the “State of Laurens County” luncheon.
Owens, originally from Charleston, is a senior at Presbyterian College majoring in Business Management with a concentration in Public Relations. He is also captain of the Men’s Soccer Team at PC and serves on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee for the college . His responsibilities include writing press releases, assisting with membership contacts, and planning the 12th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament.
While working at the Chamber of Commerce, Owens, Bagwell, and Atkinson will receive real work experience that will help in their pursuit of a career after they graduate. Please join the Board in welcoming them to the Chamber staff.
