ISO Poly Films, Inc Celebrates 10 Years

GRAY COURT, SC - ISO Poly Films, Inc., a custom extruder of plastic films for applications in the food, medical and industrial industries, today announced the celebration of 10 years in business. In February 1998, the company extruded its first pound of film in its Gray Court, SC manufacturing facility. Since then, the company has grown to 85 employees with a payroll exceeding $6 million annually.

"What we started ten years ago based on a vision and with a team of passionate professionals has steadily grown into a business that is still turning heads in the industry," commented Jon T. McClure founder and president of ISO Poly Films. In 1995, McClure began planning his company with $10,000 of available credit and $1,200 in his pocket. He set out to build a manufacturing company that delivered quality specialty films and provided exceptional customer service, something he felt was lacking in the film industry. In late 1997 he obtained $600,000 of capital and established ISO Poly Films, which officially opened in February 1998. Since then, ISO has invested over $35 million in the development and expansion of its state-of-the-art facility and in manufacturing equipment.

"Our success can be directly attributed to our people and everyone's strong commitment to ISO's success and core business values," McClure added. "None of this would be possible without the industry knowledge, leadership and dedication of our board of directors, management team and entire staff," McClure said.

In 2006, the company completed a major expansion that more than doubled the facility's square footage, now totaling 135,000 square feet. The expansion included a 35,000 square-foot building to will house eight highly-advanced film lines, one of which was installed and is in full production, that utilize the latest technology to produce specialty multi-layer films. This facility and these films are designed to meet the innovative advances in the food and medical markets.

"By providing advanced technologies to produce specialty films that not only meet our customers' needs today, but address changing trends for tomorrow's marketplace, we have positioned ourselves as a trusted partner for many key players in the packaging, printing and converting markets," McClure stated.
