CeramTec North America Signs Strategic Contract
CeramTec North America Corporation, a major supplier of Advanced Technical Ceramics and leader in Hermetic products, announced the signing of a strategic contract with a US based Company to supply key technical ceramics for manufacturing petro-chemical derivatives.
The multimillion dollar manufacturing agreement covers a period of ten years with the possibility of future extensions. The initial phase, known as the 3-C project begins immediately, and targets a manufacturing start-up slated for mid-2009. "This is a significant business venture for CTNA, underscoring our commitment to growth and continuous drive for customer satisfaction and business diversification. The added sales will solidify an already expanding ceramic business for the Laurens facility. Additional resources will be added in the coming months to fulfill the new requirements," commented Michael Mueller, President of CTNA.

This project along with the expansion and upgrade of existing manufacturing processes will involve a $23 million investment and the creation of at least 30 new jobs at the CeramTec North America’s Laurens facility.
