Meet our Ambassadors: Lee Anne Kitchen

Tell us about yourself.
I am a dedicated and driven professional who approaches challenges with enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence. My passion for my work fuels my determination to succeed, and I am known for my honesty, transparency, and consistent efforts to ensure fairness in every interaction.

Outside of my professional life, I am a proud wife, mother of four amazing adult children, and “bonus” mom to several others. I’m also a delighted grandmother to three beautiful granddaughters. In 2021, I became a certified yoga instructor—an achievement that reflects my ongoing commitment to personal growth and well-being. My favorite pastimes include practicing yoga, traveling, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.

I strive to live by the motto, “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” and I believe in making the most of our time by continuously working to become the best version of ourselves.

Where do you work, and what is your title? What do you enjoy about your job?
I am the Area Manager at Roper Staffing in Laurens & Newberry. In this role, I take great pride in partnering with some of Laurens County’s top employers to connect them with exceptional talent. I find it especially rewarding to help individuals find meaningful employment while supporting the growth and success of our local businesses.

Tell us about your roles with the Chamber.
As an active member of the Chamber, I value the opportunities it provides to build strong community connections and support local growth. Through programs like the Chamber Ambassador Program, I’ve been able to engage with both long-standing businesses and new enterprises, fostering relationships and helping strengthen the business community in Laurens.

Why do you love Laurens County?
Laurens County holds a special place in my heart. With deep family roots in Joanna—where my grandparents and extended family lived—this community has played a vital role in shaping who I am. I’ve seen firsthand the warmth, resilience, and character of the people here. What I love most about Laurens County is its people—genuine, hard-working individuals who make this area truly feel like home.
