The Annual Awards Dinner is a time of celebration and recognition of business and community leaders, who make a difference in our community and for the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce. The dinner brings together 400 of the top business, municipality, industry and education leaders from Laurens County.

Team Ecology is the education arm of Keep Laurens County Beautiful. Team Ecology spearheads the effort to educate children through an annual event which brings all Laurens County 3rd graders, approximately 700 per year, to the Joe Adair Outdoor Learning Center for hands on education. There are curriculum based stations which include landfill usage, recycling, and more. 

The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce works hard for communication, coordination, and collaboration across the County. Beneficial, yet unplanned opportuni-ties often arise. We take pride in adjusting our workplan to best suit our goals and purpse: Convene leaders. Empower businesses. Strengthen Laurens County. Some such initiatives include Women at Work, HR Connect, Nonprofit Roundtable Discussions, and much more. 

The Chamber provides a variety of programs and opportunities to support the success of small businesses. As part of our Small Business Support Plan, initiatives like The Brew, educational workshops, the Shop Local social media campaign, and weekly Chamber Chat newsletters promote local businesses. Additionally, our networking events offer valuable resources and opportunities for busies to business knowledge sharing.

The Laurens County Touchdown Club was organized to promote a spirit of cooperation and association among citizens of Laurens County through a common interest, “football”. The seven bi-weekly meetings include lunch, door prizes, local football updates, and a speaker. The events end with an annual evening Banquet honoring the All County Football Team of the year.

The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce facilities are used as a centrally located meeting space between the cities of Laurens & Clinton, often reserved for community Board meetings and trainings. The recently updated training room has an 86" Aquos Board, 1920x1089 HD interactive display and seats up to 30 people. The lobby is set up as a Visitor’s Center, showcasing the great County we serve with magazines, rack cards, and brochures of local opportunities. The Chamber welcomes many people to town from walk ins to mailing information packets.

The Annual Golf Challenge is one of the County’s most anticipated Tournaments. This is a top level networking event and opportunity to interact directly with business and industry representatives. Players participate in a captain’s Choice Tournament, including custom gifts, raffles, breakfast, lunch, and prizes for tournament winners. All income raised helps ensure the success of the Chamber’s many community support projects.

The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is a free, self-guided tour of farms and markets that feature local artisans at every stop! During the tour, visitors have the opportunity to see first-hand where their food comes from, watch artists in action and purchase their works, enjoy the melodies of local musicians, and learn more about rural life. The tour is the largest free farm and art tour in the nation with over 150,000 visitors participating since 2012. 2026 will be Laurens County's 3rd year participating since switching from the Industry and Agriculture Tour.

The Oyster Roast & College Football Fan Challenge is the signature event of Laurens County.  This annual extravaganza is so much more than an oyster roast; it is a celebration. Beginning with live TV segments, a magnificent silent auction, football mascots, cheerleaders, music, an exciting live auction & bonfire with all the fresh steamed oysters, gumbo, and low country boil you can eat. Over 700 attendees enjoy this networking event.
