As the unified voice for existing businesses as well as a community development leader, successfully carrying out our purpose is critical to ensuring the continued growth for Laurens County. The Chamber of Commerce supports local businesses and hosts events that promote the entire County. We are working to improve our local economy and community, and this organization captures more than 35% of all businesses in Laurens County as active Chamber members.

 

We provide vital and timely communication to members regarding legislative issues that directly affect this community when they arise. Our tourism marketing is essential for making Laurens County a destination of choice regionally. Our successful programs, committees, and initiatives are interwoven into the fabric of our growing County.

 

Strong community development is a large and irreplaceable component of successful economic development. Once businesses, industries, and citizens are recruited, there must be a comprehensive support element in place to retain them. The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce has been validated in this role with two National Chamber of the Year honors as well as the 2011 SCDOT Outstanding Group of the Year for the Beautify Laurens County project. Our Chamber of Commerce is recognized as a Carolinas Accredited Chamber; this program sets standards of excellence for Chambers of Commerce across the Carolinas. The continued growth and success of Laurens County is largely dependent upon a strong Chamber of Commerce.
