Meet our Ambassadors: Ellie Mae Martin

Tell us a little about yourself.

Hi y'all! I'm Ellie Mae Martin, the Chamber’s Director of Pawsativity and proud four-legged face of the team. I’ve been part of the Chamber world since I was a pup, learning the ropes alongside my mom, Graysen, who handles communications and marketing. Whether I’m greeting guests, attending events, or riding along for member visits, I take my role seriously—and always with a wagging tail.

Where do you work, and what’s your role? What do you enjoy most about what you do?

As Director of Pawsativitey, I'm the official morale booster and community connector. As Director of Pawsativity, I specialize in spreading smiles, supporting our members, and showcasing the charm of our community. My favorite part of the job is visiting local businesses—there’s always something new to explore, and I never turn down a treat or a scratch behind the ears.

How long have you been an Ambassador, and what’s a personal or professional “win” you’ve experienced through your Chamber involvement?

This is my second year as an official Ambassador. One of my favorite things about being an Ambassador is how many wonderful people I’ve met. I love being part of special moments like ribbon cuttings and membership visits—especially when I get head pats and photo ops!

What’s one local business or hidden gem in Laurens County you think more people should discover?

There are so many great places in Laurens County to explore with your pup! Some of my favorites include:

  • Bark Park at Laurens City Park
  • Laurens County Park
  • Lake Rabon Park
  • Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Loop Trail- right behind the Chamber!

Whether I’m exploring a new trail or just sitting in the sunshine, I love seeing all the beautiful places Laurens County has to offer.
