Wheelthrown Pottery Officially Shipped to All 50 States

Recently, Joey Holmes, with Wheelthrown Pottery, has officially shipped his pottery to every state in the United States. Holmes started making pottery back in 2003 when his wife, Suellen, gave him a pottery wheel for Christmas. From there, clay became his favorite material to work with.

Holmes started selling pottery through his wife’s studio between the years of 2008-2009. He realized his business became more serious in 2016 when items like piggy banks, nativities, ornaments, and more became popular with his customers.

Wheelthrown Pottery sells through/for Holmes Photography (The Square Roots Store). Holmes recognizes that without them, he would not be where he is today. They handle all the sales and shipping for Wheelthrown Pottery.

Holmes’ first out-of-state shipment was a set of ice cream bowls for a friend in Pittsburgh. Wheelthrown Pottery has also left the United States with shipments or gifts going to the UK, Romania, Antarctica, China, France, and ten other countries. Wheelthrown Pottery has advanced since its first start in 2008. For the last five years, Holmes has sold between 600-1000 pieces yearly. His goal for Wheelthrown Pottery is to reach all seven continents now that he has reached his goal of reaching all 50 states.
