Ambassador Spotlight: Jervelle Fort

Tell us about yourself.

Greetings!  My name is Jervelle Fort.  When I'm not super busy working, you can find me shopping, traveling, and cooking in my spare time.  I am the mother to a loving fur child named Sage, and have three aquariums.  I'm a dedicated and active member of Springfield Baptist Church, where I hold the titles of Church Clerk, Trustee and Health Ministry Chair, as well as serving as the Vice President of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Epsilon Tau Omega chapter, both located in Greenville, SC.

Tell us about your job.

I work for DHEC as CORE Team Supervisor for the East, and Health Educator for Laurens County.  I absolutely love my job because if allows me to be out in the community interacting with people instead of sitting behind a desk all day.  I also get to travel frequently!

Tell us about your roles with the Chamber.

This is my second year serving as a Chamber Ambassador.  I am a very proud graduate of Leadership Laurens County, class of XXIII, and currently serve on the Board of Regents.

Why do you love Laurens County?

Even though I was born and still reside in Greenville, I love Laurens County!  The people are welcoming and friendly and the overall atmosphere gives me a peace that is hard to come by living in such a fast-paced city.  Laurens County has become my baby over the years and I've never been more dedicated to making a positive impact throughout.
