Ambassador Spotlight - Cortni Motes

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Cortni Motes, and I love to be on the water, whether on the lake or the river. If you cannot find me there, you can find me either hunting or working with my flowers. I may or may not have a slight obsession with flowers! I have a wonderful boyfriend named Brandt of almost 5 years and a bonus mom to a beautiful, 7-year-old little girl named Kensley.

Where do you work, and what is your title? 

I am the executive assistant to the Laurens County Public Works Director, I love many aspects of my job. What I particularly enjoy is helping citizens with their concerns and ensuring that they feel heard and satisfied. Additionally, I have the opportunity to organize exciting events for our community, such as groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and outdoor activities.

Tell us about your roles with the Chamber.

I am a Leadership Laurens graduate and am currently serving my second term as a board member on the Board of Regents for Leadership Laurens. I have also been a Chamber Ambassador for two years.

Why do you love Laurens County?

Laurens County gives off the "small town" vibe, and I love to see friendly faces when I am out and around town.
