Ambassador Spotlight - Meet Lee Anne Kitchen

Ambassador Spotlight ... Meet Lee Anne Kitchen

Tell us about yourself.

I am a dedicated and driven professional who embraces challenges with enthusiasm.  My passion for my work fuels my determination to achieve success.  I am known for my openness and honesty, always striving to maintain fairness in all my interactions.

As a wife and mother of four adult children, several "bonus children, and a grandmother to three delightful granddaughters, I cherish my family deeply. In 2021, I earned my certification as a yoga instructor. I am currently a member of the South Carolina Society of Human Resource Management. I also received the Ambassador of the Year Award in 2019 and 2023. These accomplishments reflect my commitment to personal, as well as professional growth and wellbeing. My hobbies include practicing yoga, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Living by the motto "Be the change you wish to see in the world!"  I aim daily to embody this principle. I believe in making the most of our time on earth by striving to be the best version of ourselves.

Where do you work and what is your title?

I serve as the Branch Manager at Roper Staffing in Laurens.  In this role, I take great pride in collaborating with leading companies in Laurens County to supply them with  high-quality employment talent and giving the residents of Laurens and surrounding areas the ability to establish a career in our county.

What motivated you to become an ambassador for our organization?

As a member of the Chamber, I leverage networking opportunities to enhance my visibility within the community. One such opportunity is the Ambassador Program, which has allowed me to engage with both established and new businesses in the Laurens area.

What makes Laurens County special to you?

Laurens County has significantly shaped the person I am today.  With my Grandparents and extended family residing in Laurens County throughout my life, I have been deeply influenced by this community.  The presence of exceptional individuals in this small-town environment has demonstrated to me that great people thrive here.  It is the people of Laurens County that I cherish most about this area.

If you could have any fictional character as your best friend, who would it be and why?

Wonder Woman, also known as Diana Prince, would make an amazing friend due to her empathy, compassion, and unwavering desire to help others. These are the very qualities I aspire to embody and demonstrate every day.
