Take Action SC Workshop
It was a pleasure to have SC DHEC come to Joe R. Adair Outdoor Education Center and tell us about their Take Action program, an activity-based curriculum supplement that introduces solid waste, recycling, and composting to kindergarten through eighth-grade students. We even participated in creating a compost bin from plastic bottles and can't wait to implement this knowledge with our students in Laurens County!

Recycle Right SC Thank you, Alex Miller, with SC DHEC for partnering with us and Laurens County Chamber to provide a Smart Business Workshop for local businesses! Attendees enjoyed hearing about the variety of ways their business can be more eco-friendly through the SC DHEC's Smart Business Program.

Laurens County Disability And Special Needs Board Fun Day
LCDSNB Fun Day Thanks to the Laurens County Sheriff's Office for inviting us to LCDSNB Fun Day! We started the morning off by talking about the importance of not littering and ways we can recycle our trash. Then we got to get our hands in some dirt by planting flowers in a recycled plastic bottle and using a recycled t-shirt to help absorb the water from the plant.

Laurens County Freedom Fest Parade
Thank you, The City of Laurens , for hosting the first Laurens County Freedom Fest Parade. We had a fantastic time and were honored to win 2nd place for our float. We would like to congratulate American Legion for the much-deserved first place. We the people support a litter-free Earth!

KLCB Affiliate Announcement
Happy B-Earth day! Keep Laurens County Beautiful officially joined the KAB network on Earth Day, Friday, April 22,2022 with a B-Earthday celebration at the Chamber office. KLCB is the 36th local affiliate across South Carolina. In addition, KLCB joins more than 700 KAB affiliations, including 26 state and several international affiliates. We can't send out enough appreciation to the many people partnering to make this happen!

Grab A Bag SC Impact
#GrabABagSC Thank you Lt Governor Pamela Evette for spearheading the #GrabABagSC , and partnering with PalmettoPride to Kickoff Grab A Bag event in Laurens County! We are excited about the huge success and turnout from today. We appreciate the great support for our Countywide litter prevention efforts from all participants. "Beautiful" Things Are Happening
"Beautiful" things are happening due to the collaboration of leadership across Laurens County … we were thrilled to have the first Keep Laurens County Beautiful Board of Directors meeting yesterday at the Chamber, our new KLCB Affiliate Coordinator, Courtney Crosby Stonell, is doing an amazing job! Lake Greenwood Clean-Up
This year, the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce (LCCC) and the Laurens County Sheriff's Office, through the Laurens County Beautification efforts, are partnering to advance the impact of the annual clean-up on the Laurens County side of Lake Greenwood.
